Call for Papers

The organizers are soliciting both papers and panel discussion topics from the international strain gaged balance community. Papers and panel discussions topics are welcome in the following areas:

  • Balance Design (internal, external, rotating shaft, fibre optic, etc)
  • Data Reduction
  • Balance Calibration (Automatic and manual)
  • Accuracy and Uncertainty Analysis
  • Rotating Shaft Balances and Data Transmission
  • External Balances
  • New Balance Concepts
  • Novel Balance Applications
  • Strain Gauges
  • Facility Reports and Upgrade Projects
  • Instrumentation (including data transmission)
  • Thermal Effects
  • Balance Finite Element Analyses
  • Balance Manufacturing

Submissions that are based on experimental results and ongoing activities are especially encouraged.

Please submit your abstract electronically; the abstract should be no longer than two pages, including figures and references.

Complete manuscripts are required before the conference. The working language for the Symposium is English. 

The papers should be in English and follow this format courtesy of AIAA.  Please include the author’s last name in the file name to simplify the sorting of the files as they are submitted. Papers may be in doc or pdf format.  Presentations should be in ppt, pps, or pdf.
